Last night Heather had the great idea to go to a baseball game. The weather was perfect and since it was a weeknight game the crowd was sparse. We got tickets on the thirdbase line, but decided we’d feel more comfortable if we sat behind homeplate (and the screen) so we didn’t have to worry about Ethan getting plunked by a foul ball.
The Mets got whooped, but we still had a blast. Ethan was soooooo good. He spent the whole game flirting with the women sitting around us and chewing on the seat. He started getting a little restless in the 9th inning, but never cried.
We had so much fun that we plan to go again during their next homestand. The weeknight games seem like the answer since the ballpark was pretty empty. I uploaded some of the pictures we took at the game.
Ethan’s newest word is Ding. He’s been saying it a lot the last few days. Ding ding ding ding. Very cute. He also said ‘dadadada’ and waved to me when I got home yesterday so we think he might be starting to associate words with people.
I uploaded some new pictures from the 5th and realized that we haven’t taken any new pictures in a week! Egads…we’re slipping. We’ll have to get some pictures of him riding around in his new car that his great-grandma bought him.
Ethan said Mama! He just started rattling it off while we were eating dinner at Friendly’s. He said it once and then while we were watching him he said a long string of ‘mamamamamamama’.
Ethan crawled forward for the first time! We saw him trying to move forward to grab the phone so I quickly got the video camera ready. Took a lot of effort, but he did it and then proceeded to chew on the phone antenna.
Our elation quickly ended as Heather realized the consequences of these actions. We’re going to be doing some baby proofing this weekend.
