As I’m pushing the cart I take a corner real sharp and realize … I’m making sound effects. Never occurred to me that one of the reasons to have kids is so you can make “vroom” noises while shopping without the clerks calling security. At least I didn’t do a donut. I'm always so focused when I go to the grocery store, but I try to make it fun for my 14-month-old daughter by singing silly songs about what we're buying.
