Taking down wallpaper is child’s play!

All summer I have been planning on taking down the wallpaper off the top half of our dining room (bottom half had to come off a few years ago due to some toddlers pealing it). I finally started Tuesday morning on a whim and thought the boys would have fun “helping”. I didn’t think they’d actually be really helpful but they were!
Here are my tips for easily removing wallpaper:
- get chairs for your kids to stand on
- hang plastic bags on them to put the paper in
- start at the seams and rip off the surface of the paper in as big of pieces as you can
- use water in a spray bottle to wet the underpart of the paper
- use a plastic dry wall spatula to gently scrap it off (if it doesn’t peal off effortlessly you need to wet it some more)
IT”S SO EASY 2 PRESCHOOLERS AND A BABY CAN DO IT!
Now I need to go pick some paint colors and get painting (may procrastinate on this too). ***No I went out and got the paint last night so I’ll give myself until next weekend to get it done.

Hmmm…Maybe they should have been at my house when we tried to take ours down. It really didn’t look that easy!
