Peanut Butter Playdough

2

dscf4829.jpgI decided to combine snack and art recently. The kids helped make peanut butter playdough and then had a good time playing with it and eating it too. I couldn’t find the recipe I’d made in the past so I went online and tried a new one:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 cups powdered milk

Ethan and the boy I watch really liked how it tasted but Ben didn’t. I think the honey was too overpowering and next time I’ll try a different recipe. I also plan to give the kids some other things like raisins, M&Ms, carrot sticks, sprinkles, and sunflower seeds to add to their creations (and their snack).

If you have a recipe for it please share it with me because I don’t think any of the ones I looked up are the one I used to make.

Here are some other recipes I might try:

Peanut butter playdough

2 cup Powdered dry milk
2 cup Peanut butter
1 cup Honey

Alternative to Peanut Butter Playdough

This is good for kids who want the peanut butter playdough but are allergic to milk found in other peanut butter playdough recipes.

• ½ cup peanut butter
• 2 Tbsp honey
• ½ cup flour

PEANUT BUTTER PLAYDOUGH

3 tbsp. honey

INGREDIENTS:

The only one I’ve ever made, myself, is from Mary Ann Kohl’s Mudworks book, p. 117 -
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 c. non-fat dry milk
    1 Tbsp. honey

It seems like that’s a lot less honey in the mix than the recipe you tried, maybe Ben would like this one better!

I haven’t tried her “Peanut Syrup Dough” on the previous page yet -
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 c. corn syrup
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 1/2 c. powdered milk
