Monster Cupcakes!

Okay these are the cutest cupcakes I’ve ever made (way better than my cute pig cupcakes!). Ethan had his Monster Party today and these were a big hit. I am a firm believer that cupcakes are so much better than cake for a kid party because each kid got a one of a kind monster instead of an unrecognizable sliver of a monster cake. PLUS there is no cake cutting! So these monsters were my own creation, no website supplied the idea but I hope somebody out there likes them and makes them for their upcoming Halloween party (I’ll be making them as Halloween cupcakes for our Halloween party!). All I did was tint vanilla frosting 3 different monster colors and then I added gummy eyes, gummy fangs and jelly beans for the features. Some monsters had chocolate sprinkle hair. The eyes come 20 per package but I cut each in half with a kitchen scissors so that they would fit the cupcake better and so that the 20 eyes could make about 30 cupcakes (many were cyclopes). A few of the fangs were left whole but most of them I cut in half (throwing our the extra pink gum bits connecting the teeth). Each monster was purposely a bit different and even though I started late last night and stayed up until 1am it was so worth it! So go out and get gummy parts and make some homemade monster cupcakes for Halloween!

Oh, thanks for stopping by my site. I love your cupcakes too. I especially like how they all match (you probably have less fighting over who gets what cupcakes at the party).
And my daughter and I LOVE the sideburns! That’s so cool.

Now, those are nice cupcakes! I’m very impressed! I just might make them too. Although, I’m not sure if I’ll find those eyeballs and fangs in the store. Were they in Wegman’s? Not sure if I’ll be able to get them.
Awesome cupcakes - if I didn’t think telling my son about monsters would make his sleep problems even worse I’d be rushing out to make monster cupcakes!
I had to search high and low to come back to find this page!! I’m going to make them for my son’s birthday celebration at school. His bday is the day after Halloween so I thought they’d be fun! Thanks so much for the idea.
