Snake Cake (Thanks to a Bundt Pan)
I’ve noticed that my cake and cupcake posts are pretty popular so I am going to post about all the interesting ones I’ve made so far. This snake is not the best of my creations (and I got the idea from a book) but I had just had a baby 11 days before Ben turned 2 yrs so cut me a little slack and envision how you can improve on this cake. Basically you make the cake by cutting 2 bundt cakes in half and arranging them so they look like a snake. You trim a triangular piece off one end to make it look like a tale and you add that piece to the other end to make the head. I used a chocolate cake and a vanilla cake so people would have a choice and even though I love how easy cupcakes for parties this cake is super easy to cut and every piece has lots of frosting. I needed my chocolate when I made this cake so thats why I used chocolate frosting BUT if I make it again I will tint vanilla frosting green. I would like to find something prettier to put the cake on but I really like how my coconut “grass” looked surrounding the cake. The tongue is a piece of fruit roll-up and M&Ms are the on the back. The boys really liked the cake so thats all the mattered to me!
