Fuzzy Bat Craft

2

I made these bats last year after seeing the Boa Bats in Family Fun magazine. Mine are basically the same but I made a few improvements:

  • I used black craft foam sheets instead of cardstock so they will not fade and will hold up over the years.
  • I used googly eyes instead of making them out of paper
  • I used a glue gun instead of double stick tape (again for longevity)
  • I didn’t use their bat shapes because I made my own to make better use of the sheets of craft foam

I just went to the craft store to get the supplies to make more bats this year (the kids I watch asked to make some) and the supplies cost $11. The only expensive item is the fuzzy boas which were $7 at AC Moore but maybe they can be found cheaper other places (or if I thought ahead I could have used a coupon). I am not happy with the pictures I got of them, I think they are much cuter in person!
