Ethan’s hockey season was extended one week and this morning was the last practice. Pretty light turnout since the weather wasn’t so great and after adjusting for last night’s time change our 8:15 practice felt like a 7:15am (I’m just glad we didn’t have the 7am slot!) The coaches didn’t partition the ice so the kids got to play a 1 hour continuous full ice hockey game.

It would be easy to set yourself up as a martyr for taking the kids to early morning practices, but with smiles like this I enjoy going as much as he does.

One hour of non-stop skating earns you big smiles, hockey hair, and rosy cheeks.

What’s next?  We have a few weeks off before roller hockey starts in April, Ethan’s first time on wheels.  He’ll be playing at the same arena sans ice.  Later in the Spring he and Ben will be playing t-ball.  Looking forward to taking outdoor action shots with the new camera.
