Eagle Update

0

During our eagle spotting adventure last weekend I spotted something in a tree with the binoculars. I took a picture of the tree hoping I could figure out what it was by zooming in on the Mac. Here’s what we found:

At first I thought these were red-tailed hawks, but after showing it to my eagle expert friend he thinks they might be juvenile bald eagles. Red-tails don’t hang out together, but eagles often do. While everyone thinks of bald eagles as having the white head and tail, they don’t get their distinctive look until they are 4 or 5. Until then they look much more like red-tails. In the end I am just left drooling over camera lenses with a better zoom.
