Fruit!
I’ve been buying a lot of fruit for the kids lately. We always buy fruit but they’ve been on a BIG fruit kick so I’ve been introducing some more variety for them. I had to take a picture of this mini watermelon next to the HUGE grapefruit (a pummelo I think?) and I threw in a big mango for reference. They are now all eaten but in the house at the moment we have: apples, kiwi, grapes, cantaloupe, oranges, mango and bananas. Ben and Jamie are very willing to try any fruit and both loved the grapefruit which I had never given them until now. Ethan likes to stick to apples, grapes, kiwi, berries, oranges and watermelon. Occasionally I get something that none of them like. The papaya I bought last week wasn’t a hit with any of the kids plain but they liked it blended into a fruity shake with bananas and OJ (I told them after they said they liked it that I put the papaya in). I have a bag of spinach and I may finally be brave enough to try a GREEN smoothie out with them. I got inspired by the picture of one on this blog. I’ll let you know how it goes but I’m not getting my hopes up too high!
