We had a BUSY and SICK weekend! Saturday started out with the boys going to t-ball but Ethan was not feeling so great so he just batted and sat out for the fielding part (that should have been a huge clue that his bug that started on Thurs wasn’t gone). After that we were on the road to Grandma Penguin’s house and once there Ethan was pretty sick. We decided to leave him there and just take Ben and Jamie to my high school friend Amy’s wedding that night. The kids were very well behaved and it was nice to see some of my old friends. It was a little over an hour from Grandma’s and didn’t start until 7:30 pm so we were out LATE and didn’t get back and go to sleep until after 2am. Sleep didn’t last long because both boys took turns being sick all night. Poor Grandma Penguin, we brought her tons of germs and didn’t let her sleep! Hopefully she will manage to stay healthy somehow. Today its Monday and we’re all home recuperating. John and I seem to have missed out on the worst of it (I hope) and we are taking it easy today but doing some much needed cleaning too. I am feeling so excited that I made a ton of progress organizing the art supplies and John worked with the boys on their room. We missed the kids’ school trip to the zoo but it was rainy and very chilly anyway so we’ll just have to go as a family sometime soon.
