Kids Words
I love the words that kids create for things. I’ve been trying to keep track of all the things our boys have said, but I know I’ve forgotten some and I want to make sure I don’t forget anymore.
- Kneebow pads – shin guards
- Canyon Balls – cannon balls
- Turbets – turrets (from playing Spore civilization stage)
That’s all I can remember right now, but I’ll post more as they come to me or as the kids invent them.

Well I need to think too. Last thing was when Ethan was saying “soldier spots” instead of camouflage.
Oooh I need to make a post like this too! I’m always trying to remember the cute things that Noah says! I love how kids “mess up” words – I could sit and listen to it all day long!
Reminds me of the time when my now 19 year old son was 8 and sitting in the living room. I walked in, and he is sitting in the floor, legs crossed and arms folded across his chest. With his eyes shut and head titled toward the ground, a faint hum escaping. Humored by the site, I asked him “Son, what are you doing?” He responds, stretching his arms out to the sides, eyes still closed, with the most sincerity as he says…. “Shhhhhhhhh…. I am menstruating. ” After that we had to have a nice discussion. I still chuckle when I think about that. lol
