Win a Lawry’s “Get Grilling Kit”

Lawry’s and My Blog Spark sent us a “Get Grilling Kit” that included both of the new Lawry´s marinades – Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato and Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ – a set of metal skewers and a big glass marinating dish with a lid. Yay, they will also provide another package for me to give away to one of you! We aren’t huge grillers but we’re going to work on it now that we have some new supplies. I used to be a vegetarian for many years and John doesn’t cook much but having appealing marinades like these gives you some grilling confidence (even if we end up overcooking things they will still have good flavor!). So we haven’t tried them just yet BUT they sound so good and I didn’t want to wait any longer to post the giveaway!
Lawry’s newest marinades allow you to infuse your meals with exotic flavors. The Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato Marinade features extra virgin olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, sweet red bell peppers and the perfect blend of herbs. The Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ Marinade gives meat a delicious sweet and sour flavor with a touch of Szechuan heat. Take your family´s grilled dinner to the next level – Try Lawry´s Tuscan Grilled Lamb Chops with Warm White Beans Provençal recipe featuring the new Tuscan Sun-Dried Tomato Marinade tonight! Use a charcoal chimney instead of starter fluid for faster, easier, chemical-free lighting.
Get a good brush (or two) for adding sauce to your meat and for brushing the grill with canola oil before you start grilling. If you’re grilling fruit or vegetables, brush them with canola oil before putting them on the grill.
Use non-stick aluminum foil
Use left over aluminum foil to help clean your grill! It’s a great way to re-purpose your used foil when you ball it up and scrub the grates!
I’m horrible at grilling lol, but my husband is a pro. He always undercooks the food at first so that it’s not overdone. If it need to be cooked more, he will throw it on the Foreman or back on the grill.
Thanks!
use a good marinade and a grate for small foods.
Marinate the meat overnight for the best flavor.
Don’t eat burned grilled food because it is known to cause cancer.
Don’t be intimidated by the grill. As long as you observe basic safety precations (like: don’t close the lid while your arm’s still inside), it’s just another cooking appliance. But it does cook faster than a kitchen appliance, so be sure to look up grilling times before you put the food on the grill.
Cook 60% on side 1 and 40% on side 2 of the meat your cooking.
Make sure your grill is good and hot before placing food on it. This helps prevent sticking and gives a good grilled taste. Thanks.
If you do a dry rub make sure to use a moderate amount of sugar. Too much and it may over-carmaelize and burn. Too little, and the texture won’t be right.
sounds delicious
Pat down meats with paper towels and salt each side of the meat before putting it on the grill. Never pierce the meat while grilling and never cut into the meat for ten minutes after it comes off the grill.
My tip is for a great side to grill, just chop some onion in some foil with little butter and salt and grill! Will be soft and delicous on steaks or and veggies or simply by its self!
Put the sauce on after it is cooked so it doesn’t burn
My best tip is to keep an eye on your food while it is on the grill. Don’t cook it to death either. When in doubt, use a thermometer. If you’re new at this, it would be a good idea to get a grilling recipe book at the library.
Use foil to cook great tasting veggies on top of the grill. Thanks for the giveaway.

you can grill corn on the cob by wrapping a wet paper towel around shucked corn and then tin foil.-put on the grill and you do not have to heat up your house with boiling water.
Mine is to spray the grill with Pam first, nothing will stick!
Thanks for the chance.

I tend to overcook things on the grill until I started using my cast iron skillet on the grill. Just sear both sides of your steak and then put it in the skillet right on the grill to cook it a bit slower. Comes out very juicy too!
my grilling tip is to spray the protien with cookig spray before you put it on the grill, it will keep it from sticking.
spray the grill with Pam
I like to sear my meat at a high temperature before turning the heat down (thus keeping the juices inside the meat). Thanks for the chance.
Buy a grilling bowl to grill vegetables in.
Onions, mushrooms, a tad of olive oil and Montreal Steak seasoning wrapped tightly in aluminum foil and placed on the grill while you are grilling steaks … this is the ONLY way to eat a juicy grilled steak. Adding the onions and mushrooms to the steak when you plate them makes such and awesome added flavor!
My tip – I like to marinade overnight to really seal the flavor into the meat.
my best tip is to always keep Aluminum Foil on hand!
Always marinate before grilling.
My best grilling tip is to let my husband do the grilling lol – I am not the greatest grill’er
But he would really enjoy this prize
My tip…Let’s see…
Use a Cast Iron Skillet on the grill for veggies (especially if you have a sauce)
Also try grilling fruit! Pineapple and peaches, sliced, and dipped in a butter and brown sugar (rum, too if you feel like it) mix and then grilled is DELICIOUS. Especially over some vanilla ice cream.
Thanks so much for the chance to win this!!
marinade overnight and add some beer to the mix. Keeps it juicy and adds to the flavor!
If you want to grill something that you think might fall between the slats, make a tray shape out of aluminum foil and put that on the grill then add your items.
Cover steak with Sea Salt and let sit for awhile.
Salt pulls moisture out of the meat and then dissolves some of the salt, absorbing it back into the meat. Leaving it tender and juicy.
My favorite grilling tip is to lightly rub meat with olive oil before seasoning or grilling. This helps the meat not to stick and the seasonings to stay in place.
Thank you so much for the giveaway.

My best grilling tip for our famuily is “Keep me away from the grill if you want edible food.” I can make the accessories from potato salad to dessert. but charred and rubbery is my grilling result.
When I cook chicken I throw it in the microwave first, to cook it a bit, then throw it on the grill, takes less time
I am ready to try these new seasoning.
I like to make sure it marinades over night so it is extra tender.
grill your veggies in foil packets along with your meat and then use the used foil to clean the grill. Just ball it up and scrub.
Add coke to your marinade to make the meat tender.
When I put fish on the bbq pit i always put it in a tinfoil packet so it doesnt stick and so the fish stays moist
To keep your fire going on your grill light newspaper underneath the coals. It will help keep an even fire.
Always allow your meat to come to room temperature before you grill it.
Best grilling tip, be careful to not have too much liquid on the food you put on the grill. The liquid (marinade, sauce, etc) drips down and causes flare-ups that can burn the outside of the food.

We recently read that if you’re using to charcoal to use all natural wood charcoal.
wrap delicate food in aluminum foil before putting it on the grill
My best grilling trick is to let my husband do ALL the grilling!! ; ) Love Lawry’s buy them all the time.
Use an indirect method, with charcoal, to “bake” chicken; it will be supermoist!
My best grilling tip is to use a meat thermometer if you can’t tell by look and touch if your meat is done. Overcooked, dry meat is terrible!
