Vintage Rinks

Here are some old family photos I found of the rinks my dad built in upstate NY.

I think these pictures are one of the first rinks my dad built. Simply make a depression in the snow, drop a plastic liner, weight down the sides, and add water. Judging by the ages of my brother and sister I would guess this is from 1970.

Soon after, my dad switched to the wooden frame design that I’m using today.
